Lovelane is a special needs horseback riding program in Lincoln that St. Peter’s has a long-standing affiliation with. Susan McDaniel, daughter of Jim McDaniel and Margaret Randle, was a student at Lovelane throughout her two-year battle with cancer. After Susan’s passing in 2004, her family spearheaded the Susan McDaniel Run for Lovelane in her memory. The Run was created to ensure that Lovelane continues to be able to provide students with beneficial therapy in an environment of fun, enthusiasm and love. More than 20 years later the mission continues.

The 2026 Runwill take place on Sunday, June 7th at the Weston Town Hall. St. Peter’s is a sponsor and we look forward to a great turn out. It's a super family friendly event with over400 runners, walkers, and kids participating. The Run for Lovelane includes a 5K Run, a 1 Mile Walk, a 1/2-mile Kid's Fun Run, a toddler Diaper Dash, prizes, a DJ, face painting, food truck, horses and more! As we get closer to the event we will send a registration link for those interested in participating.
