Immigrant Food Care Opportunity
Save the Date for an Immigrant Food Care Opportunity
Saturday, May 2, 2026
St. Peter’s has been invited by St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church in Dover to participate in their upcoming meal packing program. On Saturday, May 2nd there will be two shifts, 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm, at their church on 18 Springdale Avenue, Dover.
Participants will pack meals for Haitian, Venezuelan and Brazilian families in Framingham and Mattapan. They need 30 people for each shift. Additional volunteers are needed to help unload/reload the food, set-up and cleanup , greet volunteers and direct traffic. The food will be delivered and distributed by Immigrant Family Services in Mattapan and by St. Andrews and Jewish Family Services in Framingham.
This is a great family volunteer opportunity as well as for teens looking for community service hours. If you are available and interested in the meal packing, please sign up for one of the shifts at Immigrant Food Care. If you can help with the set-up or cleanup and other activities noted above, please contact Karen Montague. It would be nice to have a few St. Peter’s folks help out as it might be something we would be interested in hosting at a future date.
